Stapling new fabric over sagging padding hides a problem for a year. We strip the seat to the bare frame, rebuild the webbing that actually holds you up, and only then put new fabric on top.

Horsehair or foam built up in layers, shaped by hand, not just stuffed in flat.

Fabric stretched and tacked by hand, working from the center out so the pattern stays straight.
